Start-up funding for collaborative research projects

Application, assessment and funding of public health research in Germany

As a large and multidisciplinary field, public health research presents special challenges for the application and review process. The publication "Applying for, reviewing and funding public health research in Germany and beyond", which was published in July 2016 in the journal "Health Research Policy and Systems", serves as a guide and is intended to provide advice. The publication is the result of a roundtable discussion organized by the German Research Foundation (DFG) in 2014 on "Public Health Research in Germany: Criteria and Structures". Information on procedures for proposals requiring the signature of the rector

In order to improve the processing of certain research proposals, the Science Support Centre (SSC) of the University of Freiburg and the Office of the Dean for Research of the Faculty of Medicine have agreed to cooperate closely.

The Office of the Dean for Research is the first point of contact for all scientists of the Faculty of Medicine for all proposals and related questions. The Office of the Dean for Research forwards all proposals that require the approval of the Rectorate to the SSC after prior review and coordination with the committees of the Faculty of Medicine (Executive Board and Faculty Council).

For you, this means that all proposals of the Faculty of Medicine in the following programmes should be submitted directly to the .
