Research Funding

In the face of international competition, we aim to promote research at the Faculty of Medicine in Freiburg. To this end, the Office of the Dean for Research supports scientists in submitting proposals for intramural, national and European research programs (contact).

According to the results of the DFG Funding Atlas 2021, the University of Freiburg ranks third in the field of life sciences in terms of both absolute funding and relative funding per professor. Further information can be found here.
