Tasks

 

Implementation of the measures set within the equality plan of the Faculty of Medicine (Decision of the Faculty Board, 17th June 2009).

  1. The proportion of women having a C4-C2 and W3-W1 professorship reached 15% in 2008. Until 2014, 20% of the habilitations should be written by women scientists.
  2. Meetings and conferences from the Faculty (e.g. appointment committees, faculty council, etc.) have to take place at times when it is possible for staff with families to attend (within the core time, 9 am – 4.30 pm). The same should apply for seminars (SFB, CCi, etc.).
    - CCI: Fridays, 12.30 pm – 2 pm.
  3. Attendance of the Equal Opportunities Officer of the Faculty of Medicine or one of her representatives at all appointment committees.
  4. Examination and clarification of possible inequalities between students and scientists of both genders
  5. Consulting service for physicians/scientists in situations of conflict.

Tasks


  1. Consulting service for physicians/scientists in situations of conflict.
  2. Leading and development of the EIRA-mentoring programme together with the Equal Opportunities Officer.
  3. Coordination and communication between the representatives of the Equal Opportunities Officer concerning the appointment committee.
  4. Organisation of the network-meeting between the representatives.
  5. Contact with the central Equal Opportunities Officer.
  6. Consultancy and support for applicants concerning the drafting of the subitem ‘equality’ in research proposals the Faculty of Medicine is involved in (SFBs, priority programme, GRKs, research groups, EU projects, etc.).
  7. Consultancy and support of SFB-groupings in medicine with the implementation of equality policies.
  8. Development and maintenance of an “equal opportunity” network (bukof Kommission Klinika, Forum Mentoring Internationale Konferenz Mentoring in der Medizin, Landeskonferenz der Gleichstellungsbeauftragten an Hochschulen in BW, Netzwerk Genderconsulting in Forschungsverbünden, Equal Opportunities Officer for the Clinic etc.).
  9. Preparation of an annual progress report for the faculty and the central Equal Opportunities Officer of the University.
  10. Contact person for women physicians that want to apply for a place in a childcare facility from the Faculty of Medicine.
