Horizon Europe: European Research Council (ERC)

The ERC Advanced Grant is aimed at established researchers who have a track-record of significant research achievements in the last 10 years. Advanced Grants may be awarded up to € 2.5 million for a period of 5 years.

The ERC Scientific Council has agreed on a tentative calendar. It is meant to allow the scientific community, including prospective applicants, to be prepared for the changes ahead of the publication of the individual calls. This information is without prejudice and subject to the formal adoption of the 2024 ERC Work Programme.

Horizon Europe: Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions (MSCA)

Postdoctoral Fellowships foster individual research projects of scientists in the first eight years after obtaining their doctorate. Within the project, funded researchers gain personal competences through interdisciplinary, international and intersectoral mobility.

Horizon Europe: Cluster Health; and other health related topics

The Digtal Europe Programme currently has four topics with a health-related focus:
- 1+ Million Genomes: sustainability and uptake
- Demonstrating the in-service use of the European Electronic Health Record Exchange Format (EEHRxF) in healthcare settings
- Supporting patients' access to their health data in the context of healthcare services for citizens across the EU
- Support for Health Data Access Bodies to foster efficient pathways for AI in healthcare
- AI in support of Quantum-Enhanced Metabolic Magnetic Resonance Imaging Systems

European Partnerships, Joint Programming and Joint Transnational Calls
12.04.2024
TRANSCAN-3 preannounces the launch of its 4th call for proposals (JTC 2024) on the topic of: "Combination therapies against cancer: new opportunities for translational research"
For the funding announcement, three objectives have been formulated:
- Aim 1. Development of new tumour derived models to test new drug combination therapies.
- Aim 2. Design and development of high-throughput drug combination screening platforms to test new combination therapies.
- Aim 3. Use of immunotherapy and radiotherapy combinations strategies to overcome drug resistance.
This call supports transnational collaborative projects involving max. 6 partners from at least 3 countries participating in the funding announcement.

This call aims to address how new forms of technological development and digitisation have the potential to be transformative and mitigate labour shortages. Proposals must address all three research topics outlined below:
- Working situation
- The role of AI
- Cross-national differences and similarities within different welfare systems
Only transnational projects will be funded. Each proposal must involve a minimum of three
eligible applicants from at least three different countries participating in the call. This call will have a one-stage procedure.

Eurostars

The aim of Eurostars is to support European cooperation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in research and development projects according to the "bottom-up principle". Therefore, German research institutions only receive funding if a German SME is involved.
