Third party management

As part of its administration work on behalf of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Freiburg, the Medical Center – University of Freiburg’s third-party funding administration department is responsible for the administrative guidance of projects funded by third parties (financial management, control and accounting) and also supports project leaders, including in the following areas:

  • Application procedures with German Federal Ministries (e.g. BMBF) for expenditure-based grants (AZA/P form)
  • Plausibility check of the staffing costs in your application
  • Administrative support of funding from the Research Commission


A list of employees in the third-party funding administration department with their respective areas of responsibility can be found in the intranet under Geschäftsbereich 1 - Controlling und Finanzen → Abteilung 1.1 – Finanzplanung → Mitarbeit (only accessible from within the Medical Center – University of Freiburg’s network).

Forms which are relevant to third-party funding management can be downloaded from the Medical Center’s ”QM-Portal” (in the intranet: „Services/Angebote“: QM-Portal: Formularplattform: Buchhaltung und Finanzen: Finanzplanung: Drittmittelverwaltung: only accessible from within the Medical Center’s network).
