Basic Order for KaNeF - Career and Networking for Women in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at University of Freiburg

The habilitation should not be older than 5 years.
Habilitation procedure: the habilitation must be reviewed and approved by the Habilitation Commission of the Faculty of Medicine.
The habilitation must be successfully completed. The lecture in front of the habilitation committee must have been finalised.
The habilitation must have been taken in Freiburg.
The prize money must be spent in the same year.

A research assistant position can be awarded for 6 months.
A one-time extension of up to 6 months is possible.
The support can also be applied for parental leave in order to guarantee the continuation of the project.
The support can also be applied for times in which children have an increased need for care.
The funding is 400 € per month.
For clinician scientists applying the clinic has to guarantee at least 2 days per week for research.
After the funding period the scientist must submit a report on the progress of the project.

The scholarship can be awarded to doctoral candidates of the Faculty of Medicine in the doctoral phase or to female scientists of the Faculty of Medicine in the final phase of a publication / project.
The scholarship cannot be awarded during the practical year (PJ).
In the case of interim financing through the scholarship, proof of further funding after the end of the scholarship must be submitted.
Scholarship plus research position may not exceed an E13 position.
The scholarship can be applied for a maximum of 6 months, an extension is not possible.
